Investigators said 32-year-old Glenn Artis was killed at the shop following an argument with the business owner, 38-year-old Freddie Hudson. ABC11 has learned that Artis and Hudson had been involved in an ongoing dispute that spilled over into the business.

According to witnesses, the pair pulled up to the shop in separate vehicles and exchanged gunfire.

Artis was the only person struck in the incident. He was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he later died.

Hudson has been detained and is currently being questioned by authorities.
