Police said the 18-year-old student originally told them she was attacked not far from her school around 2 p.m.Thursday. She said it happened on Park Drive in the Cameron Park Neighborhood off Hillsborough Street.

After collecting evidence and interviewing potential eyewitnesses near the scene, authorities said the victim's time frame and location of the incident changed.
The victim told police it actually happened several miles away in an area between Landmark Drive and Wesvill Court near Lake Boone Trail, not far from Rex Hospital. She also said it happen around 11:30 a.m. instead of in the afternoon.Click here for a map of that area
Despite the change in details, police said they are still taking the allegations very seriously.
Investigators currently do not have a suspect.
