Police investigate two Goldsboro shootings

Goldsboro police are investigating two separate shootings that happened only a few hours apart.

The first incident occurred at Headquarters Barbershop, located in the 500 block of E. Ash Street Saturday at 10:45 p.m.

Police said 26-year-old Vanradius Fields and 27-year-old Shawn Holmes, both of Goldsboro, were injured in the shooting.  

The second shooting happened at Party Central, located in the 800 block of Corporate Drive, Sunday just before 2:30 a.m.

Two Goldsboro residents were also victims in the second shooting, according to officials. Police said 20-year-old Michael Sawyer and 17-year-old Christah Battle were attending a Graduation party that was being held at the club when shots were fired by an unknown gunman inside.  

Sawyer underwent emergency surgery at Wayne Memorial Hospital. All of the other victims were treated for injuries at the hospital. Battle has since been released.
