90 cited in Raleigh DWI checkpoint

RALEIGH

The Wake County Sheriff's Office's set up the checkpoint at the intersection of South New Hope Road and South Rogers Lane.

Deputies charged 17 people with driving while impaired, along with 14 others for other drug and alcohol violations.

Officials said 28 people were arrested and charged with driving without a license, and 17 people were caught driving with a revoked license.

Law enforcement officials were also able to apprehend three wanted people during the checkpoint.
