Police in Chapel Hill have issued a crime alert after more than a dozen home break-ins over the last month.

On Huntingdon Drive alone, there have been three home break-ins in just three days.

All the break-ins appear to be happening in the middle of the day.

Police said the thieves are taking electronics, iPads, laptops and digital cameras.

Anyone who sees anything suspicious should call 911.

Chapel Hill police offer a free service in which they will survey residents' property and give tips to keep them safe.
