Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are asking for the public's assistance in locating 37-year-old Zayrain Carpenter. He has been charged with several crimes to include statutory sex offense, crimes against nature, and taking indecent liberties with a child.
Carpenter was last seen on foot in the area of Cissna Drive without his shoes, wallet, keys, or his cell phone. Detectives believe Carpenter may be staying in the Cumberland or Hoke County area.
He is described as a black male about 6 foot 2 inches, weighing 210 lbs. He has shoulder length dreadlocks, but officials said he has lost weight since their photo was taken.
