Morrisville gas leak forces nearby evacuations

A gas leak in Morrisville caused nearby public safety offices to evacuate around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to PSNC Energy, a contractor hit a two-inch line, causing the leak. A crew arrived on the scene and was able to stop the leak just after 11 a.m.

Morrisville police were advised to evacuate the offices on Town Hall Drive.

All employees have been authorized to re-enter offices. Town Hall Drive was closed while crews worked to repair the leak, but has since reopened.
