911 calls from triple fatal crash released

WAKE COUNTY, N.C.

Twenty-one-year-old Devin Mosteller, of Clayton, was driving when he overcorrected, ran off the road, and struck a tree, killing all three people inside.

Officials believe Mosteller was driving 75 mph at the time of the crash, and 65 mph at the time of impact.

A 911 call paints a picture of just how serious the crash was.

"There's a car that's run off the road and hit a tree and it's sitting on its side and I have not seen the people get out," the 911 call said. "there are people running to the car now to see if they can help."

Family members told ABC11 that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

"He was at a party and they told him don't leave. He was like 'I'm good, I'm good' and he drove anyways," Pretty's family told ABC11.

The passengers inside the SUV were 18-year-old Christopher Pretty, of Clayton, and 19-year-old Adonis Banks, of Middlesex.

Mosteller was due in court in October for speeding and DWI charges.

The Highway Patrol will not comment on alcohol involvement until a toxicology report from the Medical Examiner's Office returns.
