Two suspects in Fayetteville shooting ID'd

FAYETTEVILLE

Arrest warrants have been issued for 19-year-old Andrew Delroy Bentinck and 30-year-old Stanley Armando Generette.

Both are facing first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and robbery with a dangerous weapon charges in connection with the shooting that happened near the intersection of Ramsey Street and Rosehill Road on Tuesday.

Around 3:30 p.m., a Ramsey Street tobacco shop's surveillance video was rolling when a string of gunshots rang out outside.

It showed a car pull up in the parking lot. A few seconds later people were seen running, while the gunman was seen repeatedly firing at the car as it sped off down Ramsey Street.

One of the shooting victims, who was later identified as 29-year-old Gary Jones, then ran inside the store.

"I was sitting down working on my laptop when I heard a couple of shots, then there was a lot of shots going on," stop owner Shukri Al-Gahim said. "The guy came inside the store. He was shot two times and he just came in and lay on the floor and I closed the door and called the cops."

The second victim, 28-year-old James Farrior, who driving the car, made it just a few blocks before his car hit a utility pole on Colonial Avenue. Police said Farrior died from his wounds. Jones is currently recovering at a local hospital.

Meanwhile, detectives are still searching for Bentinck and Generette.
