Cumberland County authorities charged 19-year-old Tevin Evans with first degree murder and felony child abuse. They said he's responsible for the death of 16-month-old Emoni Paige back in October 2011.
He claimed the child had a seizure. However, the medical examiner's report said the child died as a result of blunt force trauma to the chest.
Evans is expected in court on Monday.
