It happened Saturday around 10:30 p.m. when a 24-year-old female told police she was raped by an unknown suspect.
The suspect, driving a tan four-door vehicle, allegedly drove the victim to the 400 block of Pelt Drive, where the rape was reported to have occurred.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his early forties with stocky build, and approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall.
At this time, detectives do not believe the suspect is connected to previous sexual assaults reported to the Fayetteville Police Department.
