Wake County school board considers bond issue

Growing pains will mean some tough decisions for the Wake Count School Board - including asking citizens to pay up for new schools.

At a work session Tuesday, the board continued discussions about a 2013 bond referendum.

There are still a lot of details to work out like how big the bond should be, when it should go on the ballot, and what projects it will include.

The board's staff also suggested three schools to be added to the magnet program -- Lynn and Green Road Elementary Schools and Carroll Middle School.

They believe those schools are the most likely to qualify for a grant to help pay for the conversion.
