Woman allegedly robbed in Wake County home

Deputies responded to an armed robbery call at a Wake County home, after a woman said she was robbed while returning home from running errands.

The victim was carrying packages into the house on Holland Hills Drive in Fuquay-Varina around noon on Friday when the suspect came into the house behind her and demanded money. He then ran out the door.

This suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build. He is believed to be in his late 30s to early 40s. The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, dark colored pants, a blue bandana on his head, and sunglasses.

The suspect was last seen running from the area of the Holland Hills subdivision on Purfoy Road, headed toward Highway 55. The suspect was armed with a knife and is considered dangerous.
