Police said they received a call about a suspicious person with a gun in the 4400 block of Bragg Boulevard around 3:15 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Caldner Jean Ellison in the parking lot of M&M Leather. They said she had a gun with her.
After a brief search, authorities found the body of 30-year-old Michael Dion Phillips behind the business.
Ellison was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Anyone with information regarding next of kin for Phillips is asked to contact Detective Orellano at (910) 988-6543.
