Police: Robber got away in taxi

Police said they're looking for an alleged bank robber who used a taxi to make his getaway Monday.

Detectives said the man came into the Mechanics and Farmers Bank on E. Hargett Street just after 11 a.m. and demanded money.

After getting cash, the man went outside and got into a taxi. He told the driver to let him out near the State Capitol.
