FedEx truck burns, explodes

A FedEx delivery truck suffered some kind of mechanical problem Thursday morning that caused the vehicle to catch fire and explode.

It happened around 10:45 a.m. along Church Street at Hunters Ridge Drive.

People living nearby reported hearing a loud explosion. The driver was not hurt.

The Creedmoor Fire Department extinguished the blaze.
