Mangum, who became a household name as the Duke Lacrosse accuser, officially fired her attorney Woody Vann Wednesday in a Durham courtroom.
A judge approved the move, but will keep Vann on standby just in case.
This is the third time that Mangum has fired her lawyer in this case.
She's charged with stabbing her boyfriend to death.
