Authorities: Body found last week is missing Siler City woman

Authorities in Chatham County said Thursday that the body found near Chicken Bridge Road last week has been positively identified as a missing Siler City woman.

Daphne Forster's mother reported her missing a week ago. The 38 year old was last seen at Cruizers Convenient Store in Pittsboro on Oct. 9.

On Oct. 10. around 7 a.m., authorities said they found her body. The case is currently being investigated as a homicide.

Investigators have not located the blue Chevrolet Cavalier, with North Carolina license plate number WVY-6036, which she was driving at the time of her disappearance.

Further details about the investigation have not been released.
