Democratic surrogates Beau Biden and retired Sgt. Major John Estrada spent Sunday urging Wake County veterans to vote early.

Louis Daniels, a Marine veteran said before the Obama administration, his father received poor treatment at a VA hospital.

"He passed away there.. And today's veteran centers across the nation are 200 percent better for serving the vets and wounded warriors. So that's the main reason I support Barack Obama", Daniels said.

Biden and Estrada said military votes don't all go to republicans in North Carolina, where polls say Mitt Romney has a narrow lead.
