Officers with the Wilson Police Department were called about the shooting around 1 a.m. at 3510 Ward Blvd Apt. 8.
When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Eric Tyquan Delonte Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Wilson Medical Center where he later died.
An investigation is ongoing at this time. Further details have not been released.
