Two injured in crash near downtown Raleigh

Two people were injured early Thursday morning when their car crashed near downtown Raleigh.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. on Glenwood Avenue near Five Points.

Authorities said emergency crews had to cut one person out of the car after it crashed.

Both people were taken to WakeMed with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
