Family pleads for clues in double murder

DURHAM

There was nothing they could do for 24-year-old Timothy Deangelo McGhee. He was dead when they got there. Twenty-two-year-old Paul Anthony Noel Jr. was alive, but he later succumbed to his wounds at Duke University Hospital.

A year later, the deaths of the two men remain unsolved, and their families want justice.

"I know it's been a year and there are cases - cold cases - that go years before they're solved, but, I do know, and I'm trusting that this case will be solved, that someone will be brought to justice," said one of the men's aunt Towanda Jackson.

Investigators said they believe someone fired into the house from the outside, but they don't know who.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator McMaster at (919) 560-4440, ext. 29320 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
