Peterson's lawyers are claiming that Brodsky represented Peterson for his own personal financial gain.
The attorneys asked for Brodsky's financial records to prove it.
Brodsky is fighting that effort. In court Friday, Peterson's attorney addressed the issue even though Brodsky wasn't there.
As part of the motion, Peterson's attorneys claim Brodsky ruined the convicted murderer's chances of acquittal by orchestrating and sensationalizing media coverage of the case.
There will be a hearing next month on a motion for a new trial for Peterson.
