Police: Same suspect may be linked to robberies

FAYETTEVILLE

The most recent robberies happened Tuesday night. The first one was reported just before 8:30 p.m. at Golden China on Bonanza Drive between Yadkin and Morganton roads. Less than an hour later, a second robbery was reported at the Family Dollar in the 4100 block of Raeford Road.

Police said in both incidents a suspect matching the same description entered the businesses, showed a weapon and took money before fleeing.

The suspect's description also matches the suspect described in two other robberies last week.

On Feb. 4, the Burger King on S. Reilly Road was robbed just before 9:20 p.m. Two days later, just before 8:30 p.m., police said the Little Caesar's on Raeford Road was also robbed.

In both incidents police said the suspect walked into the businesses with a weapon and demanded money before fleeing the scene.

The suspect in the robberies has been described as an African American man in his 20's with a thin build and standing about 6 feet tall. He was seen wearing dark clothing, a hooded sweatshirt and a ball cap with a purple bill.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact Detective Walker with the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1856 or CrimeStoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
