Quinn: Violence antidote is jobs

February 17, 2013 (CHICAGO)

The governor went to Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church where he said a primary antidote to violence is jobs.

As part of that he backed President Obama's call for an increase in the minimum wage and he repeated his call for increased gun control.

"We have to make sure we understand as a community we will not let the gang bangers and those who would do harm to the public safety and to innocent children we cannot let them prevail," he said.
