There are similarities between nine robberies that indicate the same person, or group of people, may be involved in the robberies. Eight of the robberies happened in Fayetteville. A ninth occurred in Hope Mills.
The most recent robbery occurred Wednesday around 9:40 p.m. at the Burger King located at 4782 Raeford Rd.
In all of the robberies, the suspect enters the business and pretends to be a customer before forcing his way into the back and displaying a chrome or silver handgun.
After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the business, the suspect will then flee on foot. The suspect is believed to have a car waiting for them at a nearby location.
The first suspect is described as a black male in his 20s who is approximately 6-feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing dark clothing, a hooded sweatshirt, and a ball cap with a purple or blue bill.
The second suspect is described as a black male in his teens to early 20s who is approximately 5-feet-6-inches to 5-feet-10-inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a large white cross on the back and a multi-colored design on the front, blue jeans, a red baseball cap, and black sneakers with white stripes.

Local businesses can call (910) 433-1033 or (910) 433-1134 to schedule a crime prevention specialist to visit their business and perform site security survey. In addition, the department offers a "Video Done Right" program that is designed to help businesses improve the quality of video on security cameras. Business owners are advised to call 911 anytime they see suspicious activity.

Feb. 8 - Little Caesers at 3459 N. Main St. in Hope Mills.
Feb. 12 at 8:26 p.m. - Golden China at 155 Bonanza Dr.
Feb. 12 at 9:10 p.m. - Family Dollar at 4112 Raeford Rd.
Feb. 15 at 9:43 p.m. - Short Stop Food Mart at 1717 Owen Dr.
Feb. 15 at 9:50 p.m. - Lil Thrift Food Mart at 1015 Hope Mills Rd.
Feb. 20 at 9:40 p.m. - Burger King at 4782 Raeford Rd.
