Investigators said the unidentified suspect robbed the NC State Employees Credit Union on Old Honeycutt Road just before 5 p.m.
He approached a teller and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene and ran into a nearby wooded area.
Officials describe the suspect as a white male with facial hair, who appeared to be in his 20s wearing a white and green hooded jacket with an emblem on his left chest and blue jeans.
