Officials said a driver passing by the former store spotted the flames and alerted authorities.

No one was injured in the fire, but officials said one firefighter may have injured his ankle after stepping in a hole while fighting the blaze.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Old Poole Road was closed for several hours as fire crews worked to clear the scene. The road was later reopened around 6:45 a.m.
