One year anniversary approaching for missing soldier

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.

Fayetteville police investigators told ABC11 they are working on leads in the case of Kelli Bordeaux, but they are not elaborating beyond that.

In the meantime, the one year milestone is approaching for Bordeaux's family.

"It's really unbelievable. That you wake up every day and still don't know where she is, " said Bordeaux's sister, Olivia Cox.

The Army medic disappeared after leaving a Fayetteville nightclub with an acquaintance.

Police and an army of volunteers spent months scouring woods and fields in the area, but they have found no trace of the missing woman.

Bordeaux's family keeps a Facebook page called "Find Kelli Bordeaux" updated with information. While police are not commenting on a suspect, the family keeps a picture of Nicholas Holbert on the page.

Holbert is a convicted sex offender and told authorities he gave Bordeaux a ride home from the bar the night she disappeared. He remains in jail on unrelated charges.

"Nothing has led us further than him, and I mean that is kind of where we are staying at," Cox said. "You don't have a crime scene or starting point, you just have to start and keep hoping and searching."
