Durham brain cancer patient hopes to join ironman competition

DURHAM

Forty-three-year-old father of two Greg Sousa is currently undergoing chemotherapy for a brain tumor. However, he's not letting that slow him down.

In fact, he's trying to gain access to the world's largest ironman event in Hawaii. An ironman is a triathlon where athletes swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and then run 26.2 miles.

Greg is trying to gain a spot in this event through the "Kona Inspired Contest." It grants entry to seven athletes who receive the most votes based on their inspiring stories through an online contest.

You can help Greg's dream come true by going to his link and voting for him. Click here to vote for Greg.
