A Fayetteville woman is facing charges after police say she turned her car into the path of a motorcycle, killing the rider.

The accident happened just after 9 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Reilly Road.

Authorities said 26-year-old Brian Baldwin was driving his 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle down Reilly Road near Jeffrey Drive when 53-year-old Rosalina Dobbins turned her 2004 Chrysler Concorde into Baldwin.

Baldwin was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he later died.

Fayetteville police have charged Dobbins with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
