Assault reported outside bar on Raleigh's Glenwood Avenue

RALEIGH, N.C.

Police said a group of people got into an altercation outside Downtown Sports Bar and Grill at 410 Glenwood Ave. around 1:30 a.m.

The victim, 23-year-old Anthony McDonald Jr., told police he was assaulted by multiple suspects and was punched and kicked in addition to receiving the knife wound.

McDonald suffered a laceration to his head, along with multiple abrasions to his head and face. He was transported to WakeMed for treatment of his injuries, which are not life-threatening.

Police told ABC11 the suspects fled the scene and have not yet been identified or arrested.
