Man hit on road, left to die

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is working to find the vehicle that hit and killed a man in Harnett County Sunday night.

Investigators said 38-year-old David Schultz was killed just before midnight on Ponderosa Road. Shultz was apparently walking in the road when it happened, and troopers said they suspect he may have been under the influence of alcohol.

The vehicle that hit Schultz did not stop.
