Teen injured in Wake County crash

The car came to rest back on its wheels.

Authorities said a teenager was critically injured when the car he was driving flipped several times Tuesday evening in southern Wake County.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Sauls and Jordan roads, just south of Garner near the Johnston County line.

The Highway Patrol said Justin Walker was driving westbound on Jordan Road when he lost control around a curve, flipped several times and crashed into a ditch. Troopers said he was going around 75 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Walker was thrown from the car. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to authorities. Walker is currently at WakeMed in critical condition.

Further details about the accident have not been released.
