Authorities said the two armed suspects entered the bank shortly after it opened, confronted employees and demanded money.

The pair were wearing black robes, face masks and scarves, but police said one of the suspects appeared to be an African-American man and the other one a white man.

Although they fled the bank on foot, officials said they believed the suspects got away in a red passenger car.

No injuries were reported.

The robbery does not appear to be related an armed robbery on SE Maynard Road over the weekend.

Anyone near the area at the time of the crime or who may have information related to the incident is asked to call the Town of Cary Police Department at (919) 469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at (919) 226-CRIM(E).
