Pedestrian struck by car in Cary

A pedestrian was struck while crossing the street near the intersection of Crossroads Boulevard and Jones Franklin Road in Cary Thursday evening.

Police said 22-year-old Kelsey Pittman of Apex was going south on Jones Franklin Road around 9:45 p.m. when she hit 18-year-old Mohamed Farhan of Raleigh.

Farhan was taken to WakeMed with life-threatening injuries. He is currently listed in critical condition. Pittman was not injured.

Police are still investigating how the accident happened.

Further details have not been released at this time.
