Public preview of new Wake County Justice Center

RALEIGH

The new Wake County Justice Center stands eleven stories high on South Salisbury Street in downtown Raleigh.

The new facility is nearly twice the size of the old Wake County Courthouse.

County officials promise the building will dramatically improve the speed and efficiency of county services and court cases.

The $184 million courthouse includes 18 courtrooms, new digital court calendars, and a courthouse café.

Getting around these new halls of justice should be noticeably faster because the building has seventeen elevators.

The old courthouse only had four, which were historically slow.
