Former Mount Olive pastor accused of sex crimes

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C.

Officials said the arrest of 41-year-old Timothy Jack Strickland - former pastor of Jones Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church - came after a joint investigation with the Wayne County Sheriff Office, Duplin County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Investigators got a warrant to search Strickland's home on East James Street and said they found enough evidence to charge him with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Bond for Strickland was set at $50,000.

A member of Jones Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church told ABC11 Wednesday Strickland has not been the pastor of the church for several months.
