It happened just after 9 p.m. in the 300 block of E. Umstead Street.

When officers arrived, they found 41-year-old Travis Knight of Armitage Court suffering from several gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to Duke Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Details surrounding the shooting have been released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
