13 arrested in Durham narcotics sting

Durham police arrested 13 people on a total of 36 charges during a narcotics buy-bust operation earlier this week. Officers also confiscated crack cocaine, marijuana and cash.

Officers made the following arrests:

  • Antwan Broadie, 39, of South Roxboro Street was arrested in the 2500 block of South Roxboro Street and charged with sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to manufacture,  sell or deliver and conspiracy to sell marijuana.
  • Deangelo Taborn, 20, of Mebane was arrested in the 2500 block of South Roxboro Street and charged with sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver, possession of marijuana and conspiracy to sell marijuana.
  • Roosevelt Cromartie, 44, South Roxboro Street was arrested in the 2500 block of South Roxboro Street and charged with possession of marijuana.
  • Terry Raynor, 25, of Plum Street was arrested in the 2500 block of South Roxboro Street and charged with trespassing.
  • Phillip Williams, 25, of Delray Street was arrested on Sargent Place and charged with sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver and possession of marijuana.
  • Thomas Webster, 22, of Brye Street was arrested on Brye Street and charged with sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver, maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Thomas Docher, 48, of East Umstead Street was arrested in the 300 block of East Umstead Street and charged with sell and deliver cocaine and possession of cocaine with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver.
  • Fruquane Murphy, 17, of Fargo Street was arrested on Weaver Street and charged with sell and deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver, maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and selling controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school.
  • Stanley Somerville, 33, of Sargent Place was arrested on Sargent Place and served with orders for arrest for assault on a female and interfering with emergency communications.
  • Darren Mcshall, 40, of East Cornwallis Road was arrested on Umstead Street and served with warrants for felony larceny, removing shoplifting devices and conspiracy to commit felony larceny.
  • Jerry Cox, 29, of Harvard Avenue was arrested on Juniper Street and charged with conspiracy and resisting, delaying and obstructing officers.
  • Joseph Kane, 24, of Juniper Street was arrested on Juniper Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances and conspiracy.
  • Tevin Cox, 21, of Sedgefield Street was arrested on Juniper Street and charged with sell and deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver and conspiracy.
