Pair arrested in Harnett County shooting

HARNETT COUNTY, N.C.

It happened around 7:45 p.m. at a convenience store/fast food outlet on N.C. Highway 87 near Cameron.

Authorities said two people, later identified as 20-year-old Gregory Ricardo Fargas of Lillington, and 24-year-old Tonielle Dominic Foushee of Sanford, were shot during an altercation, then drove up to a Little Caesars restaurant and asked people in the area for help.

Witnesses said Fargas was shot in the back, while Foushee was shot in the arm, chest and leg. The pair was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital in unknown condition.

Authorities said Fargas told deputies that two men shot him and Foushee after he changed his mind about selling them some drugs.

Shortly after the shooting, authorities arrested 20-year-old Damien Sherrod Street of Sanford and charged him with robbery, discharging weapon into occupied property inflicting serious injury, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

A second suspect, 16-year-old Tiyon Nathan Turner, was later taken into custody at the Cumberland County Courthouse on charges of robbery and discharging weapon into occupied property inflicting serious injury.

Authorities are currently searching for two more people who were also seen fleeing with the suspects in the same vehicle. Officials said they have not positively been identified, but they have found the suspect's vehicle.
