2 killed in Sampson County crash

Two people were killed and four others injured in a Sampson County accident Saturday evening, according to N.C. Highway Patrol.

A Chevrolet truck collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe on U.S. Highway 421 near Union Elementary School around 5 p.m.

Troopers said the driver of the truck, 37-year-old Adalberto Trejo Rodriguez, of Burgaw and his passenger, 12-year-old Angeles Nicolle Salazar, of Rose Hill were both killed.

Four others were injured and taken to a Clinton hospital. Their names and conditions have not been released.
