Dozens of Durham restaurants and convenience stores were busted this week for selling alcohol to minors.

Durham police teamed up with Alcohol Law Enforcement agents to crackdown on local businesses that illegally sell alcohol.

Undercover officers and underage decoys checked out 87 restaurants and stores in Durham. Of those establishments, 33 sold alcohol to minors.

Six of those establishments even sold alcohol to minors even after they showed their ID.

In all, the sting operation netted 38 criminal charges. Some of the business will be fined.

One business owner told ABC11 that he fired an attendant who sold alcohol to a minor.
