The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says a stolen gift card may help it solve more than a dozen car burglaries.

Deputies circulated a picture Tuesday of a man who allegedly used the card at a Murphy USA on North Main Street in Hope Mills. He was seen on surveillance video purchasing gasoline.

The gift card was just one of multiple items taken in car burglaries in communities along Chickenfoot Road.

The suspect is described white male of average height, medium build with dark hair. His haircut is shaved on the bottom portion of his head and the top section is long and pulled back into a pony tail.

If you know the man, or have information about his whereabouts, please contact the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500.
