The storm rolled through Rebecca Duke's area just after noon Tuesday in the 4300 block of Zebulon Road in Zebulon.

The wind powerful strong enough to uproot an old, huge tree right out of the ground, and it wasn't the only tree damaged or destroyed. In total, the family said they found six trees down. Many of them were at least 70 years old.

Some trees fell on the roof of an old barn. Only a tractor is now holding the building up.

"We noticed the tree over there, the tree here, walked around over there and we noticed the barn," said Duke. "We all wanted to cry because we know it's going to be a lot of work"

The family says clean up for them will being Wednesday morning.
