Authorities in Wayne County said Brandon McMahon stated on Aug. 27 that he was going to "shoot everyone on the bus."
Details surrounding the incident have not been released.
McMahon of Stantonsburg, North Carolina, was later arrested and charged with a false report of mass violence on education property.
He was placed in jail under a $5,000 bond.
