Police say they made the decision after a thorough investigation and interviewing several witnesses.
Islom Juraev, a Cary High School student, was riding his bicycle across the pedestrian crosswalk on Walnut Street when a car hit him after school had let out. He was rushed to WakeMed where he was treated for a broken leg.
The driver was not injured.
It's not the first time a student was hit by a car at the same location. According to Cary High School's principal, there have been three other similar incidents in the last two years.
