A 16-year-old driver is facing charges in connection with an accident that killed a motorcyclist nearly a month ago.

Raleigh police charged 16-year-old Jemiah Williams with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle for allegedly hitting and killing a man on a motorcycle at Rock Quarry and Jones Sausage Road on August 13.

Authorities said 43-year-old Steven Jones was driving down Rock Quarry Road when Williams allegedly failed to yield and hit Jones' motorcycle with her car. Jones died from his injuries.

Williams is scheduled to face a judge next month.
