Last suspects in kidnapping and murder of Navy vet Errol Williams in Fayetteville arrested

FAYETTEVILLE

Williams, 27, was abducted from a Kangaroo gas station in the 5600 block of Bragg Boulevard where he had stopped to ask for directions. He was forced to drive to the Shaw Heights area. That's where police say he was shot and killed when he tried to escape.

The Fayetteville Police Department said Elliot, 31, was found by U.S. Marshals in Conroe, Texas late Wednesday night.

Minutes after the Texas arrest, Haskins, 21, was arrested by marshals during a traffic stop on Murchison Road in Fayetteville.

In all, police say five men are suspected of playing a role in Williams' murder.

Kourtney Terrell Reed, 20, was captured in a home in the St. Pauls area earlier this week.

Last week, the US Marshal's Task Force arrested 36-year-old Anthony Solomon Porter in the 6000 block of Gavins Street, near Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville.

Eric Lamont Phillips, 31, is also in custody.

Elliot is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping (2 counts) and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Investigators have described Elliot as the alleged triggerman.

Haskins is charged with first-degree murder,  first-degree kidnapping (2 counts), robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Reed is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Porter is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, conspiracy to commit a felonious assault , and two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon in Raleigh.

Phillips is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
