Chatham Charter celebrates expansion to high school grades

SILER CITY, N.C.

The event included a ribbon cutting, dedication ceremony and tour of the new high school building.

The Chatham Charter Board of Directors, school administration, staff, students, and the community joined together to celebrate the realization of a long-time goal of having elementary, middle and high school grades at the school.

Following a construction project that began in March, the high school building and other campus improvements premiered in time for students in grades 9 and 10 to return to school on August 14.  Over the next two years, grades 11 and 12 will be added.

In 2013 alone, Chatham Charter has expanded parking and traffic flow areas, tennis courts, a cross country trail, and soon-to-begin construction of other athletic fields in addition to the new high school building.
